What is the difference between an outdoor coat and a jacket? Well, basically its just a matter of length, a jacket is much shorter and will typically extend down to the middle of the thigh whereas a coat or overcoat stretches down to or below the knee. Our newest addition is the puffer jacket, originally called a skyliner this style of jacket was designed by Eddie Bauer in the 1930s and is well known for its warmth and wind resistance. Following a decline in sales during the 1990s, Bauer decided to discontinue the skyliner, however the company reissued a modern, more fashionable version, the puffer jacket designed by Nigel Cobourn, last year to celebrate its 75th anniversary and has since seen a resurgence is sales.  We are also pleased to be able to offer a range of shower proof jackets.
